Please complete the following form if you have an idea for a project for (s)hiver arts festival 2023 (03 - 05 February 2023). The deadline for submissions will be 15 November 2022.
A few things to consider before submitting your project idea:
-
Any outdoor installation will need to be sturdy enough to withstand the dead of the Yukon winter. These conditions include high winds and mind-numbingly cold temperatureswith daily fluctuations. Furthermore, we suggest that the project require minimal on-site fabrication as the cold prevents long hours of working outside.
-
We will provide or reimburse transportation if required. However, if you are applying from out of the territory, you may want to consider applying for a travel grant through another institution.
-
(s)hiver will provide you with lodging if required. This usually involves being billeted by a community member. If you have any allergies or require anything specific about your lodging, please let us know as soon as possible.
-
(s)hiver will provide artist fees for participating artists. We aim to surpass the fee schedule set out by CARFAC. The final amount of of the artist fee will be dependent on our financial resources.
