Drive Along Stories

In the fall/winter of 2020, (s)hiver, in partnership with the Nakai Theatre, produced a series of three podcasts that are supposed to accompany road trips in the Klondike Area. Three Dawson City-based artists, namely Robin Sharp, Cud Eastbound, and Joey O'Neil created sonic journeys to 40 Mile, Keno City, and along the Ice Bridge, respectively. Although the podcasts are supposed to be enjoyed in a vehicle (except Joey's, which is better appreciated on foot on the Ice Bridge), they are great for any half hour or hour that one might want to spend being acoustically transported to the Klondike's byways. The following podcasts can be downloaded for free or streamed via this site. Please contact us if you want a version with higher audio quality. These are also available at the ODD Gallery in CD and tape format (soon the Visitor's Information Centre when it opens).

Cover art by Juneau MacPhee and recorded by James Lewis-Healey.
